I'm a ftm breastfeeding and I've had great experience. The first day in hospital was tough because I had an emergency c section and I was hurting and still a little drugged up but since then it's been good. My milk came in the third day, haven't had any issues with latch or engorgment. I just feed her on demand. I will say it takes patience and the calmer you are the easier it is for both you and baby

I planned on it with my first, but ended up not for various reasons/issues we ended up encountering, so my daughter has been formula fed since pretty much day one. While I plan on breastfeeding again this time, if I can't, I can't, and I'm not opposed to formula. 😊

And I've been dropping weight easily... I'm already down 31lbs 6 weeks pp

I'm a ftm and I'm hoping to become a lactation consultant after my baby! I've wanted to be one for as long as I can remember! I'm one of the biggest supporters of breastfeeeding! I look forward to hopefully bf my little babe!

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping it all works out. For those who have already breastfed a baby, did you have a lactation consultant help you when you breastfed for the first time in the hospital, or is it something you can easily figure out on your own?

not only is it free but it's so easy! no need to find a clean bottle, mix formula and heat it. just cuddle and baby eats at the same time straight from the tap ;) plus all the other perks of weight loss and health for mama and baby. I'm still breastfeeding my first baby and he is 22 months.

@jaxmomma, the first time the nurse showed me. My hospital had a lactation consultant come see you every day. They helped me with different holds since 1. I have very large breast (F's) and 2. Had a c section.
