Am I wrong for not wanting kids to hold my baby when he's born? 2 had babies last year and from what I have seen they were not careful around them, nor do they paying attention around them. I know I will upset a lot of people with it but he's my child and his safety comes first before anything. It's not like I'm never going to let them hold him.. Babies are just too fragile after they are born.

i dont think youre crazy. adults will be lucky if they get free will to hold my baby. you cant just expose them to anyone. im sure ill be more comfortable around 6 months. but until then.i dont really plan on letting ppl be all in her face

yeah and that's what these kids do, always in their faces and never leave them alone. Try to pick them up and walk around with them.. that won't fly with me. idc if they are 6 months or older. accidents happen but when they aren't paying attention or messing around that's on them. I know I'm going to be a really strict mother but I only want what's best for him.

You're the momma! It's up to you to protect your baby, and people don't have to agree with you. They can deal with it. I'm going to be in the same boat as you because my husband's family all smoke, and anyone who's been smoking won't be able to hold my baby because of the smoke residue. Even third-hand smoke can cause SIDS. But they all smoke around pregnant women, babies, and children. Well, not this one!
