Any ladies dying there hair? I've heard things like once you're pregnant the dye could change colors bc of hormones. Is that true or just a myth?

@jana.bear, I have powdered bleach and developer and toner and a hair mask that I use after I dye it. I would only be doing my roots to touch them up, I've had no problems dying my hair before with what I have bought but I will take your advice and wait till I'm further along to dye it just In case it turns out funky :)

I was a hairstylist for 10 years. it honestly depends on the color and how you prepare for it ahead of time. I always recommend no color services until 20 weeks or later just to be safe. I have had some ladies that were a medium brown get a greenish tint to their hair. So use a claifying shampoo a few times before you color so there's no build up that could cause color distortions. modern lightened are fine as long as they're used by a professional. No at home bleach jobs. the "bleach" available to the public for purchased is often old and outdated. go see a hairstylist if you plan to go lighter.

it's true I went to dye my hair purple at like 20 weeks and my hair was like 5 different colors after I washed it out, it was horrible. may be different for you but I definitely wouldn't dye your hair in the first trimester
