Go without then. I don't have the injections regardless of whether I'm pregnant or not because I have a high pain tolerance so whenever I've had dental treatment like fillings I have them done without the injection. But that's just me
My dentist told me to wait until I had had my baby to have route canal treatment and therefore injections but @nashkay is right I doubt the dentist would offer it if it wasn't safe.
My dentist is a dozy bitch. I have 4 wisdom teeth which have caused me grief on and off since I was 16. I finally had an X-ray done last year and it seems one of the my wisdom teeth has come through sideways which has caused all the pain. Due to this, it needs removing. So she referred me to a consultant. I went to the appointment in October and she had forgotten to tell him I was pregnant so he told me I had completely wasted my time coming there. He put me on the list for the removal, for around April time. He says they do not do surgery on pregnant women, unless to emergency! My dentist is a twat. How do you forget to write 6 months pregnant on someone's notes!!
I've been dentist twice with broken teeth they sorted it out and gave me injections as she said there's no risk to baby but she couldn't lie me down flat x
I work as a dental manager and I am a qualified nurse. it would not hurt the baby but sometimes the mum gets so stressed over it that it can cause stress for the baby. if not in pain dentist prefer to wait with invasive treatment like that as they don't want to put you through stress while pregnant. but overal the injection etc is fine as long as you stay calm :) good luck xx
