I'm grateful for my baby shower today. It was done very beautifully and with lots of thought. My colors were gold and pink and everything was perfect. The only downside of today is that I invited over 40 people and only 10 showed up. My family has spent months of planning and buying things for the shower and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I couldn't believe that barely anyone that I invited showed up. It was upsetting and embarassing. Even my best friend, who said she wouldn't miss it for the world and was even texting with me about it last night, didn't show up. What in the fuck is wrong with people. I understand that things happen and people have lives too, but for 3/4 of my guests to never show because most just didn't really care or whatever is really hurtful and shows what kind of person they truly are. It's even more fucked up that I messaged them on Facebook simply saying, "missed ya today at the baby shower!" and the majority of them have just ignored my message. Don't give me your address for my baby shower invite if you just have no care to show up or even acknowledge me. I now know who not to invite to things anymore. Rant over.

I'm so sorry that happened to u. this is what I worry about with my shower and I won't have mine for 2 months and I'm already stressing about the food, the games, paying for it(my parents say they'll help but who knows how far thatll go) and gifts and I'm worried I will b put on bed rest and in my household I'm the only one working right now and were hoping by my shower my husband's back to work but we won't know til March if he can go back or not :( and I'm hoping to invite as many ppl as possible but I would b so upset if 40 ppl said they'd come but then it turn out to b the real number I thought originally like 7 ppl :( :/ I'm glad you had a good shower though and hope the rest of your pregnancy doesn't have anymore bumps

Yes, they were family members and I know I can count on them to celebrate this wonderful miracle with me! We had a great time!

@babymadelyngrace, awe cute shower! Mine is next week and I'm just preparing myself for people to not show so I won't be disappointed. Only 6 things from my registry have been purchased and none of my child's father family or friends are coming because they live 8 hours away so it'll just be my family anyway
