All babies are different, fuzziness can't always be defined as hungry. I think it's quite a bit for a week old, my pediatrician told me to space out feedings. She told me that 4 oz is more towards 2-3 months. During the first month 2-3 oz every 2 hours. Newborns tend to sleep a lot, I was giving my baby 4oz every 4-5hrs because she was sleeping so long!! but when I spaced out meals like the doctor asked my baby was less fuzzy & it helped me get her in a better schedule throughout the day :)

Are you pace feeding the bottle?

@lilshortgirl, yea he was sleeping 4-5 hrs too so that's why they told me to up to 3oz and it just seems like today he's more hungry then he has been

@mamajustice, yes I burp him in between and what not he isn't drinking it to fast

It should take him 5 minutes for each ounce he's eating. If he isn't spitting up, then you're fine. :)

My son has been on 4 Oz every 3 hrs or so since he was 2ish weeks. He's not even 2 months and we're having to up him to 5-6. The Dr told me to feed when he's hungry and if he's taking the bottle and I'm not having to shake it in his mouth every bite and then to get him sucking again then to keep on.

@lyndsie94, okay now I feel better thank you :) I just didn't wanna over feed him and don't see my doctor till this week
