does anyone have children that are two different races? would you tell your children before the child is born what others might say? or would you wait til itt happens? I'm curious if I should tell my 3 curious girls that this new baby will be different from them. of course I'd wait til I delivered to say anything at all. just curious if it's something you prep ahead of time or just take it when it happens?!

I would just go with the flow, in the end I feel like your girls will be really understanding

I don't think you should tell them your new baby is different. that way when people ask them later on they'll no there's not wrong with difference in skin tone and that they are just as much siblings regardless :)

My children are different races and they had no idea... My son didn't even know he was biracial (and he spends half time with his dad's side) until I showed up at kindergarten for his birthday and his friends said that's your mom? But she's black and you're white. That's when I had to sit down and speak to both my children but they still didn't fully understand until about ages 5 & 7... I'm not sure the age of your children but if they are small they may not even recognize it

my kids are 7 turning 8 on friday. 7 and 6. my oldest is smart. her two half siblings are mixed but they'd Spanish so they don't really look mixed. I think my oldest knows. my boyfriend is black. wave had "the talk". he has his own kids too. my younger two are just so nosey/curious. sometimes they sound rude. I think it's been an even bigger issue for my man because some of his friends joke "oh you're the butler" & he took offense to it.
