I know that I'm going to have my baby early because I've been dilated to a one since Wednesday and my doctor said that I would have my baby within two weeks. I feel like my milk hasn't came in or whatever.. I've had no signs of it. Could it be possible that I don't produce any right away after having my baby? I'm worried because I want to give breastfeeding a try.

some women don't get there milk until baby is born. when baby starts to nurse then ur milk will start to drop. and if it hasn't dropped your second day in the hospital talk to a nurse and they can help ur milk drop. I had this problem

@jnh199243, thank you! That's relieving to hear. Because I know that some women can't produce enough milk and I'm worried about it!

don't worry but make sure it already taking in lots of protein to help Ur milk form. and have someone bring u extra proteins to eat in the hospital. what the hospital gives u ain't enough when breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding should work out fine ☺ But i was dilated 3 cm and 100% thinned since 36 weeks and still went overdue with my son! so it definitely does not mean you will go early at 1cm

I think the act of just putting baby on ur nipple once he/she is here is what helps bring in milk also if im not mistaken..

the first thing to come in is colostrum, it's the most important for your baby. from what I heard in my prenatal class, milk doesn't come in for 3-5 days after the baby is born

Your milk usually don't come in until 5-7days after you have your baby. You first produce colostrum with is the good stuff for your newborn. Your breast will have that once your baby latches. I'm a first timer breastfeeder and you have to be consistent , patient and trust your body. The first image is what I pump in the beginning and the next image was what I pumped a week later. Never think you don't have enough or you not producing enough milk the pump don't indicate how much milk your baby is getting. Just feed on demand, meaning keep the baby to the breast and pump after some of your feedings to let your breast know it needs to produce more milk.

Your milk won't come in until you have your baby. Don't worry. It will be ok.

your milk does not get triggered to come UNTIL THE placenta is off your wall.. all the baby latching and what not does is help you regulate your supply so remember to always put baby on nipple as much as possible. your colostrum will be enough for bab for the first few days and DO NOT PUMP before 6 weeks. It'll get frustrating but your supply will come in and then you start to regulate. EBF is all about supply and demand. if you have any questions feel free to ask me ♡♡ @carlyann00

I didn't produce milk until my later stages of labor.
