My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I just removed my Paraguard IUD that I had for 3 years. I'm 21 now. Has anyone had experience trying to get pregnant after Paraguard removal? Thanks!

Took a preg test and it was NEGATIVE! Yay! 🎉🎈 How many of those posts do you see on here? Lol. I just have a positive OPK for the last week. That's one hell of an LH surge. Just to be sure I took a test and now I can rest a little easier. I may test again next week. *I'm taking OPK to AVOID pregnancy without the use of birth control. Natural Family Planning. I had my Mirena removed 3 weeks ago and so far no period, so I'm just trying to get a sense of a legit cycle, the first in almost 3 years. I haven't had sex since the removal but I have heard of some women getting pregnant by the sex that was had the day before IUD removal! 😮
I found out I had breast cancer nov. 19 2018. Found I was pregnant a few days later. They wanted me to terminate my pregnancy I refused. I did chemo the whole time I was pregnant. I had my daughter then had surgery to remove whatever was left which was two millimeters of a tumor. My daughter is two months and I found out yesterday I am completely cancer free 😍 I fought like a girl and I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took me about 4-5 months to get pregnant in 2014 with my now one year old, I also had it for 3 years

@babiig0911, The paraguard is a copper iud that doesn't release hormones. While as the Mirena is a hormone releasing IUD

I heard a lot of bad stories about the mirena..is paragard better?

I had mirena for 3 years , I took it off on may didn't get pregnant til December.
