We have been talking about getting engaged this fall ,but I can't help but think how small my wedding would be on my side it'd be my dad his gf my 3 brothers and one of their gfs and maybe my youngest two( I haven't met) my 3 sisters and their 2 husbands and maybe four friends and of course our 3 kids,and on his side it'd probably would just be his mom maybe dad but he hasn't even met his sons first baby and hes 5 months now so I doubt he'd come to the wedding his 2 brothers and maybe 4 of his sisters and of course the people they bring as dates,and how ever many of his friends but alot of friends say they will come to stuff and dont...thinking of eloping but not the traditional way I'd tell my dad n sisters and friends and my kids would deff be there I wouldn't want them missing that ...idk kinda makes me sad and not want to think about it I always wanted it to be big and beautiful somewhere nice in maybe a mansion and have a horse drawn carriage as we leave in the end some where in chicago or here where I live a place with a view but I have a feeling it will either be court house which I hate or just some where small. Everybody wants a dream wedding

the only people that could make it to my wedding on my side was my mom my grandma and brother :0 but i didn't care I still had my wedding

why not just do a wedding you can afford now then later down the road (5-10 years) do a vowel renewal and do a bigger wedding . That way you can still have a nice wedding and invite your family members that you want and he can do the same

@azmommy85, yea I thought about it the most important person to me coming I'd my dad he's in his 80s so it's just something I want him to see happen sense my mom passed,I would most likely do a pintrest wedding for now ,I don't want to spend to much now because I have bad experiences with no shows equaling money wasted but as long as we're married I'm sure I will be happy just hard not having the dream one but I'd get over it sense it's really not about money and nice things

@mrs.cravens, I'm sure either way I'll be happy I just never really thought of a small one although I'm sure is a money saver and can be nice

I feel the same but in all honesty all that stuff most of us women want for a wedding isn't important. Just having those who are closest to you celebrating is the most important. Not to mention the cost of a wedding is ridiculous. I know I wouldn't want to go into debt $40,000 or more. Especially since I have 2 kids and 1 who's still be stubborn on not wanting to come out. I feel you hun my mom passed away too (when I was 23) You could still have a beautiful fun wedding even if its smaller. Let me know what you find and how it goes 😊 I'll be finishing planning mine after my daughters here. @mrsmoore
