I am considering asking my midwife if I can be induced as I haven't been well towards the end of my pregnancy. Any ideas on what they would say? Anyone asked to be induced and got it?

I've only known people to be induced due to a lot of pain or like @lottiesmam said due to being over due or a medical condition, never heard of anyone being induced because they've been ill but if they feel like it's what's best for you and the baby then they'll do it xx
I've only really known people to be induced due to being over due, have pre eclampsia, high blood pressure or OC as they can have a bad out come for both mom and baby. finger crossed for you though they will do a lot of monitoring before hand I'm guessing xx
I am hoping so purely down to constantly feeling ill, they wanted to keep me in Thursday to monitor me but weren't going to do anything so I didn't see the point. Don't worry I do it all the time @lottiesmam
they may do then purely due to your gestation sorry I read the little weeks sign under your name as 35 not 38 x
I'm 38 and 2 days. I've spent the last week in and out of 2 hospitals for different reasons @lottiesmam xx
they'd say no, unless you have a pretty nasty medical condition and even then they still try to wait until 37 weeks atleas xx
I'm the same @sophiegreen has to go through my consultant.. my meeting is Thursday how about you xxx
Arghh okay I didn't no that i will speak to her and see what's said thank you thou @sophiegreen x
Different areas could be different , but where I am my midwife isn't allowed to schedule one unless the consultant has agreed that's what's best x
I spoke to my midwife this morning over be phone she had booked me in to see her this week @lydiasmomma I will see what she said thank you @sophiegreen xx
It's not up to your midwife, I mentioned the pain I've been in with SPD and having a back to back baby and mine scheduled an induction meeting with a consultant xx
Have you got a number for the midwife. She may want to book you in and assess you :/ :) xxx
Baby has been fine her movement has dropped a couple of times. It's more because of my health and the longer I carry her the more I seem to become ill @lydiasmomma xx
Worth asking - they take in consideration both your health and baby's xx
I can't see why the wouldn't tho tbh, if you've been in hospital it's probably best xx
