OK so my boss directly above me knows I'm pregnant but I have been told by her and various other people at work (that know) not to tell the top manager because he won't take my doctors note into consideration. what should I do? should I talk to the woman in human resources? or should I wait until I see my boss again and ask her what she thinks. I'm starting to get pretty obviously pregnant.

talk to human resources. and just know if they fire you it is against the law and you can file a claim with the EEOC. and have no worries. im actually in a lawsuit with a company that fired me when i was 3 months

the human resources woman is really nice but the manager made a friend of mine that was high risk (had a doctors note excusing her from heavy lifiting and such) push carts and stack boxes one night and she ended up having a miscarriage later that night.
