Well my doctor scheduled me an ultrasound for Monday. He says don't think my baby is growing like he supposed to cause I haven't gained any weight. I'm eating a lot and the baby is moving a lot. I just don't know what's going on. But other than that, he says everything looks good. Pray my lil man is growing and he's healthy.
from my midwife team and my own research, regular doctors can get a bit too "by the book" with things like maternal weight gain. if you are eating and baby is moving I'm betting everything is going great! apparently it's normal for women to gain between 15-40 pounds throughout their whole pregnancy (although MDs are taught 25-35 pounds and a specific schedule for when the weight gain should be happening). I think there are perks and draw backs to seeing any sort of provider (midwife, doctor, nurse practitioner etc) and this is just one of the drawbacks of doctors. so, what i'm trying to say, is try not to worry. do keep us updated though!
