Ok I need help. my son is 21 months and my daughter is 1 month, my son is incredibly mean to her, mind you he has been around kids all his life, my siblings are close to is age and I have friends who has a daughter his age. He was never mean to them and he's never seen them be mean to anyone else.
Ever since I had her he has rip her socks off her feet, which the way he does it makes her cry because he hurts her, he pulls her bows and makes them snap on her eyes, he recently started basically knocking on her head with his knuckles, almost like a punch. And yesterday he started pinching her! He also like to poke her eyes, which makes her cry. I've spanked him, put him in timeout, I pinch him back, but he keeps on. It's now resorted to me holding her constantly because if I set her down he starts to mess with her. I haven't been showing favoritism, I play with him a lot. But I don't know what to do! Does anyone have suggestions? I am literally open to anything.

Sometimes brothers are mean to their little sisters all you can really do is just teach him to be more gentle. My son is 9 1/2 and my older daughter is 5 and my youngest is 4 months old

I'm definitely trying to show him to be nice, I have no idea why he is being this way. @reaganmommy2015

Give him responsibilities. Put him in charge of making sure her socks stay on(and let him choose the socks, if you want), have him be in charge of making sure her bow stays out of her eyes. Give him jobs, make him feel involved with her. And if that doesn't work, I would stick with time outs. It's not going to be an overnight change, but it will get better.

That's a good idea. Thank you! @unbecomingme

No problem! :) hopefully you find something that works for you. Also if he talks, maybe ask him why he does it? You'd be surprised how often kids will tell you exactly why they do the things they do.
