What @mommaz said, I never felt myself dilate, and I don't know of you can tell by yourself without being checked. I don't think there's any signs, the only one I had was losing my mucus plug.
@_1.30.16_ , you can feel pressure in your pelvic area and some women have pain while walking... its not so much of dilating hurting, put the face your body is getting prepared to have the baby... i hve pains in my vaginal area a lot and my doctor assured me its common..

I don't remember feeling them. Maybe because the contractions were distracting me
