hey I'm new to the group! I have a son who is just shy of 4 months. He recently has started screaming at bed time and is very hard to soothe to sleep, whereas before he was a very easy baby to fall asleep and stay asleep for 6-7 hrs during the night. Any suggestions or tips on how to remedy his sudden onset of this? (he is breastfed)

my baby is 3 months and started fighting he sleep right before christmas.i use to rock him to sleep in the recliner while holding him kinda tight.it still took some time but it worked. then i started playin gospel music or something soothing while rocking him, that helped..this week i started the crying out method..it really does work.

Yea I had to rock him last night to get him calm and he finally fell asleep awhile later

What I do for my daughter when she fights her sleep is I just let her play and make herself tired. It's pointless to force them to sleep I found it just makes it worse lol when my daughter was that age she started fighting her sleep too, I just played with her and rocked her and soothed her as best I could. 4 months is a little young for the cry it out method I believe. My daughter just turned 7 months and I'm just now starting the cry it out method because she now knows her crying gets a reaction from me and I know when she's doing it just for attention or to be picked up. At 4 months they aren't doing it on purpose :) good luck and sorry this was so long!

that would be fine but all he wants to do is scream and cry. the only thing I have found effective is him watching baby lullibys on you tube. not sure that's a good thing or not but it seems to be the only solution so far.
