Oh dear. Okay so I was going for my 20 week scan and the basically saw a little white dot in my son's bowels and a little white dot in his heart. These Were so called markers for Down syndrome. I also was negative for the first 106 mutations test they make all pregnant woman take, but that is only 80% accurate. So I was sent to a genetic councilor who told me I should redo the first test but this test was different in the aspect that it was 99% percent accurate. So 19% better than the first test. I did and the results came back negative again. This ruling out the need for any invasive tests. They have to tell you the worst possible outcome for legal reasons. But my son is healthy, measuring a week bigger than his projected due date, and all my check ups his vitals are what the nurses say "text book perfect" I put faith that my son was healthy and just hoped while waiting for the blood results. I have another scan next week to see who he's growing. But don't let it get to you too much as stress isn't any good for you and your little one.(I know it's hard hearing your baby could be sick, I broke down and cried I'm grateful everyday my boyfriend was there to bring me back to earth. Hoped this helped ❤️

These things have to be paired with a chromosomal defect as well....my son at my 20 week scan had calcium build up in his heart and said he could have Down syndrome also...but they also said it needs to be paired with another defect as well...which most blood test pick up on. Don't stress too much. U can have an amniocentesis done but the risk are possibly miscarriage as well with that. Keep praying and your baby will b just fine. Most of us believe what doctors say and in the end our children turn out fine. I knew a girl whose doctor told her at almost 30 weeks that her child had anencephaly and that she should consider terminating her pregnancy.....her son was not and was just fine....you can only see so much in a sonogram/ ultrasound. Keep praying luv and you and your baby will b ok
