My daughter has a rash I can't seem to get rid of.
THIS POST WILL BE A LITTLE TMI BUT NO PICTURES!
About 2 weeks ago I noticed 3 tiny little dots on my daughters genitals. They looked like the same bumps I get from sensitive skin and moisture so I started changing her diaper more often. But it slowly got worse. The dots spread more and her skin turned red and irritated. I tried 2 different diaper rash creams (desitin and another brand I don't remember but I know it had zinc oxide) and continued changing her more often.
It still got worse. I started letting her lay naked on towels to get air in all our spare time. She gets more baths to clean off any dirt or germs (but not everyday she has super dry skin no matter how much lotion we use)
It STILL looks worse
We have a doctors appointment already but they couldn't see her for another week.
The rash isn't on her but at all just her genitals (not everywhere though just kinda on the sides and her inner thighs) I know nobody put anything on her because she's always in my sight. I don't think it's the brand of diaper because I've always used the same ones and this just started but I switched brands anyway.
A nurse hotline said it could be a yeast infection and to give her nystatin but that didn't help (orally or in a paste)
Anyone have any ideas? I want to help her.
It's red and almost looks like spots of her skin are burned? but only in the sense of the weird dry blistery skin you get

it could be chicken pox but I would see the Dr and ask them about it

it usally looks like a rash at first but if it seems to spread like this. My baby girl hasn't had them yet but I've seen kids with them. not fun and it can be vary contagious.

So if it were chicken pox, it would spread rather rapidly over a few days and the blisters will pop and scab over. Even though you've always used the same diapers, it could be chemical burns or a reaction to the chemicals in diapers. I literally could have written this same post about my little guy in his first few months. We tried everything and ended up switching to cloth and the rash was gone within a week. I would try a no chemical brand for a week or two and continue a&d or desitin and see if it clears up. That way you can rule out the diapers being the issue for sure. If the rash spreads outside the diaper area and the blisters scab over, then it could be pox but it happens quickly. We went from one or two pox to hundreds all over his body in a matter of 2-3 days.

It spread from her genitals to her thighs. But it hasn't gone anywhere else and I don't see dots anymore. I'll definitely try the no chemical diapers @kmally @j4si8erd

Yeah try seventh generation or honest company. It honestly sounds identical to the issues we had with my first :( we tried everything. Yeast creams and all :( but he hasn't had a single rash since we switched to cloth! Lol.

My daughter kinda had the same thing happen a few months ago. After baths, pat dry her genital areas really well (any sort of wetness can cause rashes) and I was told to apply globs (the doctor literally said big globs) of just petroleum jelly within the thighs and over the outside of her genital area after baths. It helps my daughter keep from rashes, and I apply petroleum jelly at every diaper change.

I was also told that well water could cause skin irritations and dryness in infants....that's why I refuse to allow my daughter's father give her baths.

same thing happened to my daughtet and i promise vaseline was the best! got rid of it fast and i kept using it and it never came back

I'd say yeast infection. My son is allergic to the nystatin that they usually give you so we used Aloe Vista on him and it cleared up a few days later.

I used the ketocnazole as a base then Aloe Vesta as a protector.
