What are some natural remedies to get a two and a half week old baby to poop? I tried gripe water, didn't do anything.

Baby enimas, try sticking a thermometer up there as if you were taking her temp. Also chamomile tea helps as well. just a little bit in the top of a bottle nipple. You can also buy enemas from the store, the recommended age is 3. if you only use a little bit, it won't do any harm.

How long has it been since the last bowel movement? Formula or breastfed?

Two ounces of warm water & a teaspoon of brown sugar. Do it every 4-6 hours until she poops! Isaac's doctor told me to do that when he was a babybaby and it worked :)

honestly I tried pear juice apple juice prune juice and gripe water. didn't work for my son. the only thing my pediatrician suggested that did work was a qtip and Vaseline. and it worked almost instantly. my son didn't mind it at all he didn't act like it was uncomfortable or anything. we had to do it almost every night until they changed his formula.
