I love my husband dearly we have been through hell and back in the last (almost) 5 years. with that being said... I wish he would take being a parent more seriously. I was sick at the beginning and lost my job then got one once I started feeling better through a temp agency until I couldn't stand on my feet that long anymore, we had to move in with my parents because I couldn't work. normally that would make a male want to step up and do what he has to do to take care of his family but instead he is working one day a week and making excuses as to why he doesn't go and get anything different and is relying on his aunt to pay our bills rather than doing it himself. I knew he didn't have a great work ethic and was never taught to have one but damn... he is 27 with twins that can be here any time is there anything that will make him want to grow up and be responsible?!?!

I'm going through the similar thing!!! Instead I'm due in June and we already have an 8 year old.

it's so annoying! I really thought once he found out he was going to be a dad he would step up to the plate more. instead he makes excuses and hangs out with his 19 year old brother all day ( that isn't working) instead. I'm over it! @rebecky937

Yeah he's been unemployed for 4 years I've been picking the slack up until August when I broke my ankle and after recovery found out I was pregnant. Then my first ultrasound at 12 weeks find out they were twins! All I hear is he's gonna get a job but I ain't seen nothing yet

mine works at a horse harm once a week which by the time he buys gas and cigarettes he doesn't have anything left. and the days that he doesn't work as soon as he gets out of bed the only thing he wants to do is to go to his dad's and hang out with his brothers...

Demand to be treated better. My husband didn't treat me very well at the beginning but I demanded that I get treated better or he had to go. Even though we have almost 3 kids together I won't accept less than my kids and I deserve. I want my daughters to see how a man should treat a woman and how to be independent, and teach my son to know how to treat a woman and his kids.

@tmcdowell, we have been getting into arguments lately about it. I don't want to be fighting with him when I go to deliver the girls (by Monday) I am praying that once he sees the girls and sees how much work they are going to be that he steps up if not I will have a heart to heart with him and explain what needs to happen. he had never been along infants or kids really for more than a few hours so he really has no idea what is about to happen.
