Moms to be and moms I have a question .. Did any of you get your baby test to see anything wrong…

I believe it's a good thing. Nothing wrong with it. They check for all kinds of things just to prepare you. You know?

I did because I get very bad anxiety. and I would want to be prepared. And nothing was wrong (: my friend recently got her done and they turned out to be positive, but even then it's a 1 in 20 chance that there actually is something wrong

I did it that way if something was wrong I could prepare myself as best as I could

I didn't because there wasn't any family history to be concerned about.. Plus if they suspect an issue they want you to do amniocentesis and I wasn't comfortable with them sticking a large needle in my belly.. But I can see the benefits if you want to prepare for it. It wouldn't have made a difference in me keeping the baby and I think it would have just stressed me out more.

I didn't, I also have bad anxiety but not doing it made me feel more secure for whatever reason. it's really just a personal choice, totally up to you! 😊 we just didn't think it was important.

Some people are against it or don't want to, and that's perfectly fine. But we went ahead and did. Although we don't have any history in our family, we wanted to be prepared for anything. That way if the baby was born on with something I knew nothing about I could prepare and learn about it ahead of time instead of being hit with it all at once the day they were born, or otherwise. It's a personal choice, we just liked the idea of knowing.
