so when it comes to disciplining my dog, physical punishment doesn't work.
he's a smart dog and has a SERIOUS attitude problem. so if he gets in trouble for something and gets popped on the butt, when you put him in his crate, he poops all over the walls of my house. he also screeches like a banshee (not whines, screeches) and these are things that need to stop before the baby comes.
today I found my solution.
the best way to punish my dog is taking away certain privileges. like take all his blankets out of his crate, or put him in the crate and let my boyfriends dog sleep in bed with us, or just sleep out of her crate period.
this morning he started screeching in his crate so I scolded him, he does it again, so I whoop him, he gets mad so he poops on the wall. so I take him out, put on his light sweater (not his thick winter jacket) and tied him outside on the runner for an hour because he HATES being outside, and he HATES being out in the cold. I have a feeling the pooping and screeching will stop soon.

Well at least you are trying different approaches rather than giving him away 🤗 I have a 2 1/2 year old girl pup that I'm having serious issues with chewing but I couldn't imagine life without her! I know the first thing of the babies that she chews is going to break my heart but she's my family too 💕

@allisongarrett, there's a lot of mornings where I wake up and do want to get rid of him cause I get soooo sick of his crap (quite literally. I thought I was gunna puke this mornings from cleaning up his poop lol)
but I fought so hard for him, he's my baby, and I always tell myself when I calm down that I DO love my dog, and I do NOT want to make a rash decision I will regret just because I'm pregnant and stressed out and we are having some behavioral and medical problems.
