So I wanted a midwife or a female doctor to deliver my baby.. And I got stuck with the creepiest fat male ob at my doctors office who I've never even met!!! Can I refuse the on call doctor from my practice and ask for a different one who's not from my office? I just want to cry because my whole birth plan is out the window. I won't be able to enjoy my daughters birth because I'm gonna feel awkward with this stranger looking at my crotch.

there's really no guarantee who you'll get though... it all depends on who the on call doctor is at the time. For all you know it might not be him
I'm so upset. I wanted delayed cord clamping and I honestly feel like girl doctors are more gentle. My last full term baby I didn't rip at all thanks to my awesome doc. But sadly I had to leave her office because she didn't take my insurance anymore :( @sgl04
I don't think yours able to do that, unfortunately. it has to be a doctor at your practice. you can try and get a diff doctor from your practice to do it.
@jess_coff, oh I see.. well you could be in labor for a while... by the time you actually deliver someone else might be on call?
