My induction was great! Have they told you what they're doing? Pitocin or cervadil?

if they give you pictocin get the epidural. don't even play around just get the thing!

No they didn't tell me what I'm getting, I'm 3cm and 70% effaced so I'm guessing they'll just give me the pitocin right off the bat. I've heard the contractions are really shitty 😢 @tater4414 @charlotttesmama6515

@graciesmom2016, I was scheduled for induction but my water broke and still had to be induced because I wasn't dilated and he was still high. Didn't need the cervidil cause cervix was soft but they placed me on pitocin and was Laboring for 30+ hours with only 1cm dilation. The pain was no freaking joke and couldn't get epidural cause the anesthesiat on call only give epidural 4cm and up. Had to get demerol which helped. In the end has a C section cause I didn't progress. It was such a long painful ordeal for me the cramps are no joke.

Yes. I got induced with pitocin. Those contractions come out of nowhere! Get the epidural as soon as they allow you. I got it about an hour after my water broke and didn't feel any pain even while pushing. My water was broken at 9:30 am and I had my daughter 6:33 pm. I was overdue by a week and a half. haha

@charlotttesmama6515, cervidil ripens the cervix and pitocin causes contractions. They go hand in hand. Unless if your cervix is ripened then they go straight to pitocin.

Well I didn't get cervidil. That's why I was asking because I have no experience with it. I was put on pitocin only.

I'm being induced on Sunday. they gave me some type of medicine when I was pregnant with my son and it made me sick. I told my doctor today that I got sick off it the last time on a low dose. she told me that when I start feeling sick to let them know and they will give me something. @graciesmom2016 make sure you ask for something if you start feeling or getting sick. I plan too and plan on getting the epidural as well. best of luck on Wednesday

Thank you @ash1987 I'm also worried that it will make me sick. I'm def nervous about the whole thing but it will all be worth it. I just hope it's not a crazy long labor. It's my third so I'm hoping my body does its job 😉 good luck with your induction as well

@graciesmom2016, thank you!! you will be fine. I know about the whole being nervous as I'm in the same boat as you. this is my 3rd as well and it's weird going into labor on my own with my first two and them being preterm labor and being pregnant with #3 I will be 39 weeks and 1 day when I get induced...so I hope as well my body will kick it in gear and not drag out. look forward to seeing pictures of your little bundle of joy. 😊
