I'm 2sm& 90%. have to call hospital on Wednesday at 4 am to schedule my inducing-labor. I ll be 39 weeks& 3 days.this is my first child& I'm 40 years old,bc of my age doctors don't want to wait 4 natural birth. 2 of doctors told me that by statistics 39 weeks old babies have better health than 40 weeks old.im scared of pain & labor (((

Please help! My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.

Is it true that the law has changed about u can't have a baby before 39 weeks unless it's something wrong because my doctor told me this today that they can't induce me until I'm 39 weeks and that's with me having mild contractions and all And I'm 6cm

I'm wondering why I see all these women being induced at 40 weeks? Is it your choice or the doctors? I'm going to wait…
