Ok I am wondering if it is safe to put a newborn baby in a car seat with out a base? I was getting a car seat from someone but it does not have a base is it safe!?

bases are not required for most carseats. there are 1 or 2 specific infant carriers that DO require a base though. so always look up and double check your carseats manual. it's unlikely that's the seat you're receiving is one that requires a base, but find out the make, model, and expiration date and Google the manual just to be sure.
I think bases save time just a little more convenient than strapping everytime but you can always by one separate

mine goes in with or without also. and sometimes you can just buy a base by itself. good luck!
car seats don't require a base. they can go in with or without. I'm sure it's a little safer with the base, but a car seat doesn't "require" one. mine goes in with or without it.
