Should I buy a breast pump even if I'm planning on staying with my little one for some time? And if so, should I get a manual one or the one that isn't manual by medela?

idk bout where you live but insurance here only covers manual unless your baby is sickly or probably premature and the manual pumps are only 50 or less so I'm probably going to buy a manual one myself

Check with you insurance company. Most are sending mommies 1 for free!

I had a manual pump with my first son and it was so awful. My hand would hurt so bad. It was exhausting.

I have medi-cal as well I'm trying to check, if you call your councler they should be able to tell you I do know that wic will give you one but it is manual. Unfortunately they do hurt your hand after a while but it's better than nothing at all.

Manual pumps are a pain! I stayed home with my son and didn't use my pump for a few months, he nursed every 1.5 hrs

@aydensmommy2016, I don't want one that WIC gives out just because they are also used, and I'm iffy about that. I'm trying to see if my insurance can cover a medela one through babies r us... If not I'll just have to buy one!
