Hey ladies so i told yall that my doctor was not taking my insurance in 2016... I finally found a new doctor yay! They want me to bring in all my files from other doctor... My question is... Can i go and get all my files myself or do i have to call and get it faxed?

U Have To Go To Your Old Doctors Office && Sign A Release Form Then They Will Give U Everything

They are your medical records, they should be able to just give you a copy of your file. Ask how the other doctor's office wants to receive them also.

sign a medical release form and get them faxed to your new doctor. if you get them yourself they are going to charge you for it. I also had to switch doctors and do that process

The new doctor / hospital should do that. I switched doctors and the nurse did everything I just had to sign a paper to release that info and give them permission

tbh I'd just ask if I could bring the files to the other doctor. I faxed it and it took them weeks to get it.

yes they will charge you per page if you take them yourself sign a release at your new OB and have them fax it to your old one for continuation of care that way you shouldn't get charged at all
