If I'm not mistaken the problem with getting tats/piercings while pregnant is bc you won't heal the same way you would if you weren't pregnant. I would talk to your doctor about it, maybe you just have to wait until after your post partum checkup

I asked my doctor since I need to finish my sleeve and she said right after giving birth is totally fine

I know that where we live my sister tried to go and get her nose and belly pierced and they wouldn't do it because she was breastfeeding. They said risk of infection is why, so I imagine getting a tattoo would be the same.

I've actually done a lot of research on this because I would like a tattoo of my baby girls foot before it's too big and everything I've read has said it's perfectly safe to get a tattoo while breastfeeding. The main thing is you need to make sure everything is completely sterile. The shop needs to be super clean just as when not breastfeeding
