I want all mommies honest opinions! how do you mommies feel about circumcision? for or against it…

I will not be getting it done with my son...watch on YouTube "the elephant in the hospital" it helped me make my decision.

When I had my son I got his done I know sometimes when they aren't done bacteria gets caught in the forskin and can cause infection and they have to get it done later in life and it hurts more but when they are babies they don't remember the pain from it that's why I got my son done

I'm getting my son circumsized only because it prevent STDs HIV and uti's in the near future.its cleaner and hell thank me for it lol I was nervous at first but the baby won't remember it and I got advice from my brothers and they said they're glad my mom circumsized them

I'm getting my son done. it prevents infections. when my son becomes sexually active, I don't want him giving girls bacteria infections or him being called turtle neck.

I would get mine circumsized if it was a boy. For religious purposes.

I didnt get my first one and this one isnt either, circumcised or not theirs always risk for infection, especially if the dc makes a mistake and ive heard unpleasant stories about it. Like my friends little boy had to get his redone @4 for dc mistake. Its something they're born with so why remove it.

If we ever do have a son, we would. Not really my choice, although I was all for it. But, it was mainly my child's fathers choice, and he is, therefore he ultimately decided he wanted his son to be. We did plenty of research, and before finding out the gender of my first I asked my doctor all about it. I definitely don't think there should be a big of a controversy over it as there is though. It's the parents choice at the end of the day. Some woman can be so hostile over it though to others, it's insane. I had one woman tell me she prayed I never, ever had a son. it's ridiculous.

I'm not trying to be negative but I just watched the elephant in the hospital video and I still see don't see a reason why I should not circumcise my son. yes it hurts, yes there will be healing time, but the future benefits outweigh the fear of it hurting him. I don't want my son to risk infections or giving a girl an infection. I was married to a guy that had a turtle neck, and I kept getting infections so he got his cut, never got an infection after that. it's just good hygiene.

One of my son's was just because daddy is and the other isnt, not cause I didn't want him to be but because he couldn't get it done at birth due to heart problems and now he is to old and I don't want to hurt him or his pee pee

my opinion is just no for so many reasons. it's only 1 in 10,000 death rate, but its a 1 in 1,000 chance to have difficulties. Which includes hemorrhaging and seizures and even shock that leads to coma. And any of those can lead to death but arent considered death due to the circumcision . The way the statistics are set up is stupid. also they strap you poor newborn baby down to a table and put a clamp on the most sensitive part of its body. I would just prefer to teach my children how to properly Clean themselves and instill in them that to always do so is important.

and it absolutely does not prevent STDs or HIV. Just like a condom doesn't. That's like cutting out your tounge so "less germs" get in your mouth.

and no doctor anywhere ever tells you that its medically necessary. We are the county with the highest rate because medically advanced countries find it very unnecessary. America is about 50% so its half and half and everywhere else in the world is under like 15% and that few percent is religious majority so people who believe that's part of there religion.
