I think its just lots of sex. I don't think it would do anything if he came inside of you.

@mrspavlides, it actually is the semen that has prostaglandins that help stimulate the cervix causing contractions.

Yes it's supposed to help. Sex by itself doesn't do much, but the semen helps soften your cervix. We've been having sex everyday and it's not really helping. It does for some people though
