Is it normal to cry when the nurse takes your baby to nursery for his daily assessment? Maybe it's my hormones or lack of sleep. So ready to go home but getting discharge on Sunday because that's his circumcision day. My c section insertion site and back from anesthesia is painful and to boot my lower extremities are very swollen from all the fluids I received during and after my c section. But all I can think about is when is she bringing my son back from the nursery. It's inly been 3 minutes and I'm getting anxious. #ftmattachment

definitely! I cried nonstop for the first week. I couldn't turn off the tears and often didn't know why I was even crying. The crashing hormones wreaked havoc on me, but I felt pretty good after the first week was up!

I wasn't crying from any PP blues either... I was just so elated from her being here, and overwhelmed from all these new emotions. It's a crazy experience.

@levleah, ok good. I thought maybe it's the blues but don't think it is. As you said it's all the hormones just being too overwhelming. It's only PP day 2 so hoping to snap out of it when we get discharged.

@nurseriri, yep, you'll be fine soon... I sobbed when they took Dove back to the nursery to suction her and she was only gone maybe 10 min.

@_supermommie2173, I'm in my room and they take him to the nursery to do the PKU and his weight and daily assessment.
