Has anyone had a parent that won't stop trying to convince you to change your childs name??
Our daughters name will be Elliana... My mom keeps saying "No one knows how to pronounce it.", "You should name her after your dad." (My dad "Bobby" was killed 9 months ago), "It's your dad, not mine. You only live once.", "I think it's better to pass on the name Bobby cause of your dad, grandpa and aunt."...
And she decided to do this again only a few seconds after i got done throwing up.. Like great timing mom, smh.

Everyone tells me to change my sons name!! His name is gonna be Alek Zander Diaz but everyone is saying everyone will call him Alex and that I should change it, but I'm not listening to anyone. Listen to your gut and what you like, that's what matters in my opinion 😊😊

No offense intended but I'd remind her( kindly) Bobby is mainly used as a boys name.

Elliana is a pretty common name, at least where I'm from. You name your daughter whatever you want! It's your daughter. Elliana is very pretty

See my aunt was "Bobbi-Rae", my dad's name is "Robert" but everyone called him "Bobby"... The plan was if we were to have a boy, his name would be "Robert Patrick" (My dads first name, then Patrick.. My boyfriends dads middle name).
But our daughter will have my middle name since it's different, plus my dad and grandma named me "Aissa", so it has meaning.
She hasn't stopped doing this in over 3 months! Smh.

@gabbii, My mom told me both names my boyfriend and I chose for if we had a boy or girl are ugly but both names have meaning to us. I hate that she won't stop. I'm so close to telling her that this is our daughter not hers (May be her first grandchild but hell I see no other grandparents complaining on the name).
