I did with my first until he was 9mo, then had to stop because I was pregnant with my second. Then I breastfed my second until i couldn't keep up with her demand. She was about 8mo!
@firsttimemommy1029, its tough to get the hang of at first. but baby latched great and feeds well. Just finding time and space and eating/drinking enough.
@firsttimemommy1029, I breastfed my first for four months until I wasnt making enough for him. my second I unfortunately was only able to breastfeed for four weeks until I was admitted with acute pancreatitis
Yes, it was hard and it has its challenges. But it was a beautiful experience and I loved the bond I had with my daughter during that time. And I'm thankful I was able too. I personally let myself get too overwhelmed with it so by 6 months I decided to stop. Don't be afraid to try it and seek help when needed. But don't overwhelm yourself either. It'll either work out or it won't. And no matter how your baby gets their nourishment, he or she will be just fine. I plan on doing it again with my son, and I'm praying I don't overwhelmed myself again. I tend to overthink things and this time, I'm just going to go with the flow! I'm so glad your going to breastfeed! I'm sure you will love it.

@dnhmommy3, was it hard for you? I'm terrified that it's not going to work out and I want it too so badly!
