So quick question, how do you momma know how big your baby is such as lbs wise? Is it by ultrasound or guessing or going off a chart because my Dr hasn't said a thing about that and I'm 35 weeks? Based off my apps I know that she should be around 5 and a half pounds but anyway, how do you guys find that out?

They measure baby through ultrasound and estimate how big baby will be

my daughter was born at 38wks and 3days and only weighed 5lds 6ozs so don't go by the app

My last ultrasound it said his weight was about 11 ounces give or take a couple.

My dr does an ultrasound at 36 weeks to measure baby. My little boy was measuring roughly 6lbs 11oz at 36 weeks 1 day. I have big babies.

You can ask. Not all doctors do one though.

you can always ask your doctor, but it's almost never accurate. there's no way to actually weigh your baby inside you. it's pretty much an educated guess that can be off by 2 or 3 pounds either direction.

so your doctor telling you the weight is actually sort of pointless.
