Does anyone else have problems with your mother in law trying to be "mommy" to your baby?

No. Already tried to do that. She called me controlling and childish. Among many other things. She is a bossy person in general but it's much worse with my daughter. She will just grab her out of my arms and everything. I just don't know how much longer I will be able to handle it before I explode.

Can you sit down with her and tell her how it makes you feel, calmly? She may just think she's helping and not realize how it's coming across. And it will come better from you than your fiancé. She's likely to jut blow him off lol. My MIL is the opposite :/ She never says anything so she comes off as uncaring or uninvolved until I talked to her about it and she told me she was just scared to step in my toes!

My mom doesn't give me any problems. She always tells me I am an amazing mother and doesn't try to tell me how to mother.

Exactly. But she doesn't give advice. She basically tells me to do it and it makes me mad. When I speak up about it though it causes drama and my fiance will not side with me. Even when he knows she's in the wrong. He gets really upset about some things she says and does yet he won't speak up to her. I'm just getting tired of someone trying to be mommy when I am the mother. Not her.
