so this is my little miss (: she was born 10/20/15 7lbs 11oz 20in long..
my question is this, she has had the worst time putting on weight..she is about 10weeks old now and she is 9lbs 11oz. so 2 months, 2lbs of gain. however..she is 24in long now..very tall girl! but is there any other mommas out there that just has petite babies? she had reflux and milk protein allergies for a while in the beginning but after being on Zantac and Neocate now since 5 weeks, she has been doing a lot better. i guess it would just be nice to hear there are other babies like her out there so i can maybe sleep at night..lol shes my first so im a HUGE worrier lol

My son lost so much weight is the first couple days and is slowly catching up. He is very long just not chunky. They say long and lean babies grow in height a lot faster than in weight. As long as she eats well now and has plenty of dirty diapers she is just fine!😊

that makes me feel a whole lot better! thank you! I just thought it was weird because me and her dad are both tall and were bigggg babies..but shes tall, just petite..i guess genetics only play so much of a role..
do they eat a lot or have they been snackers? i can get her to eat about 3-3.5 oz at a time if i fight with her for it lol but she just doesnt want to eat a bunch..

Her stomach is probably still really little and can only handle so much at a time! My son eats constantly but is breast fed so It goes right thru him. I completely understand the worry since I can't measure how much he gets I am constantly questioning if he's getting enough but then I change a ton of diapers through out the day and feel better lol

she pees like all the time lol its almost impossible to have a clean (no pee) diaper on her lol but dirty diapers she probably goes once a day usually around noon. but doc said everything is fine as far as that goes. she reaches milestones, she coos, smiles, hates tummy time lol grabs at stuff..shes great as far as that goes, just little i guess.

That's awesome she sounds great! My son is long but little as well and my husband and I are pretty tall people as well lol I'm sure both are kids will just shoot up one day and be even taller than us😊

that was one main reason i was terrified of breastfeeding! i did it for 5 weeks but when she would throw up every feed, got dehydrated and i was going to college at the time and ate terrible anyways, i wasnt able to cut out certain foods and what not i just had to much going on and was so stressed out with her i just couldnt do it..switched to soy, did okay on it, still spit up some, switched to neocate and she does great on it, but still had some spit up so was on Zantac for 3 weeks and shes done great ever since.
id give anything to go back to breastfeeding though..the bond you develop and the emotions you feel are insane.. it is so hard in the beginning though, so for anyone who sticks to breastfeeding for a long time, you are the true superhero! its amazing to me. so way to go momma for breastfeeding still!
