Rant It really drives me nuts when people don't strap their babies into the car seat the proper way. the chest clip, is for the chest it should be lined up with the babies armpits. Car seats can only do the job of protecting baby if the parent does the job of making sure the baby is properly fassened. If the chest clip in on babies tummy it can crush internal organs on impact. It takes two seconds to move the clip up to the proper place don't be lazy people its the babies life at risk jeez! Rant over!!

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
