Hey ladies. I'm a FTM and I'm curious since I know nothing about it but, postpartum depression. What is it exactly? Thanks in advance!

yup, my experience was more along @shalene said. it's hard to feel 'normal'. if you do feel like that, DO NOT give up hope. keep looking, talk to your ob, get a therapist, start exercising. No one deserves to go through it alone.

basically what they said. I was sad all the time, and didn't connect with my baby like I should have. All kinds of things, it should not be taken lightly at all thats for sure. But I had depression even before being pregnant, so it was kinda bound to happen.

Postpartum is serious. It's all different type of signs. Unhappy, baby blues, sad for no reason, crying for no reason, some ppl reject their baby, one thinks they are not good enough to be at mom. List goes on and on

Postpartum can hit you in different ways. The main cause is that you went from having the baby all to yourself, in your womb, and once it's born, everyone smothers the baby with attention. Not only does it make you feel left out, but you also have to cope with the fact that you and the baby are no longer a private bond. Depending on your age you may only get the "baby blues" and not full-on postpartum
