has anyone gotten the down syndrome test idk what it consists of and my obgyn didn't even tell me I needed it 😰
@curlykarla, o wow that's kinda messed up, especially since you asked them and can't believe insurance won't cover
My midwife told me it was 98% accurate if it was taken at the right time with the correct gestational age, funny how we're all told something different lol
@bugandstomachebug, I did but since my MIL works there they said she knows 😒
@curlykarla, wow that's alot! I would ask what exactly your being charged for
@bugandstomachebug, @britt16 oh okay I thought it would consist of more since they are charging me 800 dollars
mine was also just blood test and ultrasound. I think unless it comes back positive that's all you need
@shortizzie, @ash_505 my Dr said I have to cause if the baby is born with anything she has to report it
shes right, there is a huge false positive rate so we decided not to do it.. we figured if it was positive, i would stress myself out so much so we figured it was not worth it and it wouldnt change anything for us anyway if something was wrong with baby.. A lot of the time, they can tell if something is up from the 20 week scan and if they noticed something on that, then we would have agreed to it..
My dr told us only to get it if it was going to change my decision to keep the baby
i took it and it consist of an ultra sound and a blood sample..little prick on your finger
@shortizzie, oh man so they are most likely just taking my money and freaking me out great
I had it done. they just took my blood and told me the results and also told me the gender. my insurance paid for it
