Not at all. My family and my fiance family tried that with me when they first found out and I set them all straight. I said this is our child. I'm carrying her for 10 months, I'm giving life to her and giving birth, & I'm the one providing for her so unless she's coming out of yalls lady bits keep opinions and comments to yourself. My family is controlling and his is just rude. My sisters step kids live 14 hours away. So I guess this is there way of controlling me and my child. My mom told my husband to decline a job 3 hours away that he would make a whole lot more money and would be more happy. Because we would move. She's the one who wants us to be here all the time! Then she bitches. My sister won't stop telling me what I need to do. She didn't raise her step kids. Met them when they were 6&8.... My mom at first wanted to redo the carpet. Well we have 2 1/2 months until she's here. Maybe before that! And now she wants to redo all the carpets and floors. Wtf!!?!?!??!? We cant set anything up because she wants to do it! So she's pushing it to where I have no Say so and can't help. She bitches when I want to buy stuff for my child. Then goes out and buys stuff. It's really getting old. -.- @bentley_mommy

that is how it was when my 1st child was born. What I did was move out and cut my family off for a while. Now they respect me as an adult and give me advice ONLY when I ask for it. It's very peaceful. Best wishes. Things will get better.

Yeah we're about to move. I'm due in like a month or so. I'm hoping were moved before she is born because trying to move with a newborn is going to be so hard! I would just tell them all to shove it. Lol its your child. it's okay to be excited but there is a boundary. my mom told me not to get a lot but I understood why because girl I got so many clothes I ain't got the room for it all and we have so many diapers and wipes that we have no more room for any baby stuff so we have to move and get our own place just to have the room for her! but your mom can take it down a couple notches. It's okay to buy things here and there but she doesn't need to tell you not to get stuff then go and get stuff. Lol
