does anyone know if you can go in labor without your water breaking or mucus plug

I went onto labor and my water never broke @25 weeks but my plug came out at 21 weeks so not really sure

i never saw my mucus plug. but that doesn't mean i didn't lose it because it can grow back

I'm 39 weeks today and Saturday night I was dilated to 1/2 centimeters

I went into labor without my water breaking. I got to the hospital and was already 7 cm dilated. he broke my water right then

I was told your water doesn't always break when your in labor. That's why the have other signs they want you to look out for

I'm nervous bc this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what to watch for.

if you have cramping that is going across your whole stomach that's a contraction. if you time them and they start making a pattern (20 mins apart. 5 min apart, etc) that's a sign. if you walk around and rest and stuff and they go away they are braxton hicks (fake contractions that are just your body practicing) if they don't go away that's real labor. labor at home as long as you can, but once they get to 5 mins apart that's when you should head to the hospital
