if you were induced, how long was your labor?? what was the worst part..
@khefner812, yes pitocin gets the contractions going more consistently which in turn will dilate you more.
@khefner812, I really would like to know your induction experience please share when its all over and I pray the best for you
thank you. and congratulations! I hope the best for you and you're little osne! and I def. will :) @boymama
Well I'll be saying a prayer for you and your baby boy! I have two boys of my own and one on the way so if you have questions or feel anxious about anything feel free to send me a message!
I am getting induced on his due date. January 6th.. so next Wednesday!! @boymama
thank you! and I am glad my body is getting prepared.. it just scares me to see other people not having the best of luck, which I know not everyone's bodies are the same. I just have alot of questions.. it is coming so soon and fast! and I just hope for the best with being induced, that nothing will go wrong. and I'll have a natural birth.. @boymama I'm glad she gave me the option to to choose, and I feel like my body can handle it, and I am ready to have my little boy!
oh. lol well doctor said, they would start my IV at 5am. and he'd be in to break my water at about 730-8am.. so hopefully by then I will be dilated more, so I won't have to worry! @lexis_mommy15
@khefner812, you know everyone has an opinion about being induced or waiting for it naturally...and everyone is entitled to that. I say if you have the option and your doctor has given you the OK- you do what you feel is best for you. If I had the option to be Induced earlier than 42 weeks I probably would have. Your body progressing every week is telling you its prepping for labor anyway! You won't have problems- stay stress free, sleep plenty before baby comes, and enjoy the process!
to help with dilation I guess. see if my water would break on its own. it definitely started contractions! let me tell ya! lol.
my doctor gave me the option to be induced or to wait. and I chose to be induced because I babysit, and I have family that live an hr away. and I'd rather have it planned. but I dilated at 36 weeks, and each weekly checkup I have progressed, and I am 50% effaced.. so I hope I do not have any problems. @boymama because I am getting induced on my due date!
when i went in i was 1 1/2cm dilated and they gave me a pill to soften my cervix overnight. the next morning they broke my water at about 7:00am and I had my daughter at 4:30pm.
Labor is hard work...the more you can sleep through it the better in my opinion. I tried to sleep as much as I could which helped the time pass!
With my first 42 weeks- and no dilation and with my second 40 weeks and I was dilated to a 2 for about a month before hand.
how far where u when u were induced? and we're you at any dilation when u got induced?? @boymama
so they will give me the the pitocin? does that help you contract. and when you contract, when I'm induced, that'll make me dilate more? @jjbaby0902
My water broke on its own, but I wasn't haven't contractions so they gave me pitocin which is what they give you when try induce you. My labor was 13 hours, I pushed for 2.5. I have no complaints, it went smoothly and was pretty much pain free (I got the epi 5 hours in). I was able to feel the contractions to push but it didn't hurt. Don't be afraid to be induced, it'll be fine.
my labor was 13 hrs and only that long because my son was huge, other wise it wouldnt have lasted that long.
I was induced all 3 times (pregnant with #4) 1st was 5 1/2 hours, 2nd was 2 1/2 hours 3rd was an hour and 10 min. All without an epidural, but I begged for it with the last one, but she came too fast.
he is my first. and I am being induced the 6th on his due date! and I keep telling myself I do not want the epidural!! lol
I've been induced every time. the first three without epidurals and the last three with so I'd say the worst part is the wait between foray getting induced and when you can get the epidural hahahaha
okay that is really good to know. :) thank u! @jjbaby0902
