Okay so last Wednesday (The 23rd) I got the implant birth control (Nexaplanon) inserted and it's been almost a week and I still haven't started bleeding. Is that normal? Would me ebf-ing affect that at all? I mean I'm glad I'm not bleeding because I haven't had a period since before I was pregnant and my son will be 3 months on Jan. 8th, but the nurse that inserted the implant, said that bleeding should start within 2-4 days so I don't know if this is normal or not. Any of you mommies have experience with this?

I've got one on the 1st of October of this year and my ob Dr said that your period would be screwed up for the next 2-3 months when it's in but he didn't say how long it'd be before the next period would start. I had spotting on and off for like 3 days. But didn't have a full on period since I've had it inserted in.

Thanks! I'm already stocked up on tampons and pads exactly for that reason! I've heard horror stories about it but I've also heard fantastic stories about it so I guess we'll just see how it goes for me. But thank you for your input!

I didn't start bleeding right away but be warned once u do start bleeding you will have tons of bleeding until you remove it :/ I had mine for a year and a half and was bleeding almost the whole time ! I felt like I bled more then I didn't and when I stopped it was only for a few days it wasn't a lot of bleeding more like spotting but still very irritating also you might have flesh like discharge which is the shedding of your uterus , no one told me about it and I was not expecting it ! the only good thing that came out of it was little to no cramping but everyone is different I just hope you don't have the same problems
