To be honest I would be heartbroken either way. However I feel I would be more willing to work on the relationship if it was just communicating with someone verses him physically cheating on me. On the other side of that tho I probably would never trust him again so it would most likely be best to just let him go

Both- just shouldn't happen period. If it is, either way, the relationship is already damaged.
