I had a HORRIBLE experience with my baby this morning. I've yet to share it with loved ones but feel the need to share this awareness with mom's to be and moms for ur knowledge and care. my baby is 3 months old and sleeps in her bassinet next to my side of the bed. since pregnancy I've gotten used to sleeping with a pillow in between my legs. This morning at 2:30 am I woke up from a nightmare. I immediately checked my baby girl to notice my pillow had fallen on top of my baby. I took it off her face quickly and placed my hand in her chest to see if she was breathing. I didn't feel anything. my heart stopped and I grabbed her and tried waking her and she wouldn't move. I woke my husband up and we tried to call out her name and softly press in her chest. I started to cry and as soon as I was about to breath into her mouth she started slowly moving and breathing in slowly. it took her a bit to start crying and moving but I picked her up and held her tight and kissed her and loved her so much. and all I could keep thinking was about the song I was singing to her the night before. as she tried singing with me 🎵🎶"it's your breath in or lungs, so we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise!"🎼🎶🎤 my husband thought maybe she was in a deep sleep and that's why she didn't respond. but I've felt her in deep sleep and know the breathing pattern on her chest. (it's a motherly habit to check) I know Jesus Christ was protecting my daughter and breathed life into her.

please please if you have a bassinet keep it far from your bed. not so close. your comforter can fall over so can your pillows.
