It's hard to say. When the mucus plug dislodges from your cervix it's a sign that things are moving in the right direction, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're in labour.
Losing the mucus plug is just one thing that may indicate that labour has started, or will start soon. Others are the position of your babyand whether you've had a baby before.
If this is your first baby, your labour may not start for another week or so after you lose the mucus plug. Or it could be a sign that you're in early labour. However it can still growing back xxx
if it's clear it's not an indication that anything will happen and it will more than likely grow back if you have a blood show so the mucus plug but with brownish blood in that is an indication labour is starting soon but can still take days I started loosing mine while I was in labour I had about 6 contractions then had a bloody show xx

I'm 39 ... Lost it at 37 and again yesterday .. Can grow back x

I'm 40+2 and lost my plug when i was 38+3 and still no sign of baby... getting induced on wednesday though😁 xx

lost mine 6 days before my due date and my contractions started within the hour, gave birth 12 hours later ☺

I've been slowly losing mine since 28 weeks I think, nothing happened so far at 35+3. Then again, it has always been clear x
