Girls is it true you can get a vaginal prolapse if you have sex before your 6 weeks pp? 😁

Oh thank god! I'm on birth control and have been since 2 weeks pp but a lady on a pregnancy group on Facebook said I was likely to get a prolapse because of having sex before six weeks.. I'm a ftm so it really scared me lol. I was lucky, my labour didn't hurt (all natural) and I had no tears or cuts and I didn't bleed even though my midwife told me I was going to die from bloodloss... I was so scared when I was in labour because I thought I was actually going to die from blood loss but here I am! X

Who told you that? The reason they say to wait 6 weeks is to give time for the cervix to close. So you don't risk any infection. Also your vaginal muscles went through a lot of stretching(due to the birth of the baby) So they need time to heal etc and get back to 'normal'. Prolapse can happen during pregnancy and during the birth of your child. So won't make a difference if you have sex before 6 weeks. I know lots of people that did it before. and lots that still hadn't done anything months later because they didn't feel comfortable or it hurt. X
