@mommabird, even when my brother's and I got into our teen year's we only wanted to be around family and play games and eat food, just chill. We would ask for a few things that were super cheap but we always saved our money to get mom and dad the best presents to show appreciation. But yea even as teens we were telling our parent's it wasn't necessary we just wanted to spend our time with our families. Everyone is different though. (:

I feel like that was part of the magic of Christmas as a kid though...being sheltered from all the drama and all the frustrations of buying gifts etc. I still remember when things started to clear for me when I was a teen and it sucked :/
