Okay sooo I've been a little applying rubbing alcohol to my cold sore and medicated balm. It was a small bump yesterday and now today the bump is unnoticeable! But my lip is kind of swollen in that area. Most likely from the alcohol.

Me too! & mine is so painful & irritating! I use some ChapStick that's called Herpecin L & it works good but doesn't make it go away in a day

Try the rubbing alcohol. I was told it drys it out! @fancy.shattuck and I use the maybelline baby lips stuff. It helps soothing cold sores/fever blisters.
